Applying API RP 15WT starts with confirming the edition named in the contract, the product scope, and any purchaser-specific additions. Material system, dimensions, pressure or temperature rating, manufacturing route, and service environment should be mapped to the clauses that actually apply. Before testing, the inspection and test plan should define sampling frequency, specimen conditioning, calibrated equipment, witness points, acceptance criteria, and retest rules.
