API Spec 17J, Specification for Unbonded Flexible Pipe, 5th Ed. (May 2024), 124 pp. Minimum requirements for safe, dimensionally and functionally interchangeable unbonded flexible pipes - design, material selection, manufacture, testing, marking, and packaging. Applies to unbonded flexible pipe assemblies with end fittings at both ends. Covers static and dynamic pipes as subsea flowlines, risers, and jumpers in sweet/sour service for oil, gas, water, and injection chemicals. Excludes bonded pipe (API 17K), ancillary components (17L1/17L2), nonmetallic-armor pipe, and choke/kill lines (API 16C). New in 5th Ed: CCS (carbon capture and storage) applications.
