Description

NACE TM0298-2015, Evaluating the Compatibility of FRP Pipe and Tubulars with Oilfield Environments, NACE International (now AMPP) Task Group 484, 2015, 16 pp. Evaluates relative resistance of FRP tubulars to specific oilfield environments by comparing apparent tensile strength before and after exposure. Seven environment categories: sour water (H₂S), sweet water, HCl, mud acid (HF/HCl), organic acids, hydrocarbons, and supercritical CO₂. Screening/comparative method; no pass/fail criteria established. Different wall thicknesses and wind angles may yield different results. Connections, fittings, and adhesive seals excluded from scope.

Edition Notes

Core standard for FRP pipe corrosion evaluation.
